Skaters Keep Achieving Through Education

S.K.A.T.E. Process

The S.K.A.T.E. program has become one of the most successful initiatives in youth athletics because it enjoys the universal support of young hockey players, parents and youth hockey organizations.

As competitors, young players set goals for themselves on the ice and in the classroom. Like the cheers they hear for goals, assists and good hustle, they respond positively to recognition and reward for their performances in the classroom.

It’s been a busy hockey season!  Let’s be sure to take time to recognize our skaters who work hard in school and on the ice.  Grade submissions for the Skaters Keep Achieving Through Education (S.K.A.T.E) program are due Friday, February 2nd, 2024.  All SLPYHA Squirt, Peewee and Bantam players are eligible to participate, regardless of what school they attend.  Players who receive a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible to participate in the S.K.A.T.E. program.

If your player has earned the grades, please take a few minutes to email their last report card to slpyh.skate@gmail.com.  The deadline to submit report cards is February 2nd.  Those players who qualify will be notified and given their prize at equipment turn-in.
